This website is dedicated to investigation of unusual luminous phenomena that are sometimes seen near Marfa, Texas in a region known as Mitchell Flat. Texas Department of Transportation has built a unique roadside park on US90 nine miles east of Marfa. This attractive park provides a convenient place for nightly visitors who look into the night hoping to see bright elusive balls of light that sometimes fly mysteriously low above desert foilage. Those who do never forget the experience.

This website is the product of a decade of privately funded research into these phenomena known worldwide as "Marfa Lights" and referred to in this website as "MLs." It is not often in today's modern world that one can observe physical phenomena that seem to defy conventional explanations as MLs do. People fortunate enough to experience a good showing described them using terms such as exotic, complex, varied, and wonderful.

This website serves to provide an initial introduction to ML phenomena along with useful information for those who seek new frontiers. For more in depth information, ask your local book store for Hunting Marfa Lights. If they don't have it in stock, they will be happy to order it.
